Location of the Regional District of Nanaimo
The Regional District runs from the edge of the Port Alberni district to the west, the edge of the Comox Valley to the north and the Cowichan Valley to the south. The main urban center is Nanaimo but Parksville and Qualicum Beach are also significant urban centers.
